Spring may be just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean the chilly weather has left us quite yet. These last few days of winter can give us the opportunity to warm up in some cozy wearables to help us transition fashionably into the next season while still being conscious-minded.

One brand that greatly contributes to ethical and sustainable apparel is Quagga Green Label. They are committed to several aspects of the planet-conscious side of fashion production, such as pollution minimization, resource renewability, and respect to manufacturers and suppliers.
What makes them conscious:
- They use sustainably-sourced materials, including organic cotton and modal.
- By utilizing recycled plastic bottles to create polyester fabrics, they reduce landfill waste.
- The company promotes ethical working conditions with fair wages and engages in close supplier relationships.
- 1% of purchases are donated to a selected charity each year to contribute to environmental improvement.
What makes them classy:
- They create fashion designs inspired by both timeless basics and multicultural trends.
- They produce high-quality items at a reasonable price.
- The accessories that they offer are stylish and functional.
The items in this consciously cozy look are:
Plaid for You Square Scarf
- Gray
- 72″ x 30
- 100% recycled polyester

I’ve actually owned this scarf for about a year, and I can attest that it has held up very well with minimal snagging and no unraveling. The generous amount of material allows for versatile wearability, while the unfinished fringe running entirely around the perimeter gives a unique touch to the basic yet stylish plaid motif.
Brushed Throw
- Navy
- 59″ x 47″
- 100% recycled acrylic
I was honestly surprised that recycled materials could yield such a soft outcome, but this throw certainly confirmed so! The material is thick and somewhat pulpy-textured, which adds to how comfortable it is to wrap up in. As with the scarf, the fringe adds an appealing detail that would allow this to double as home decor.
Slipper Socks
- Navy
- Size 6-10
- 100% recycled polyester

Complete with an ultra-thick sherpa lining, pom-pom ties, and nonslip bottoms, this lazy-day footwear is a functionally charming hybrid of socks and slippers. My feet fit comfortably inside, even while wearing another pair of socks underneath. As with the other items, the recycled polyester compromises no softness.
A final note about the brand: as previously mentioned, each year a specific charity is selected to which 1% of sales are donated. Their 2019 charity of choice was Big Life Foundation, which aims to protect and preserve wildlife and natural territories in East Africa.
As a reminder of the company’s role in the conscious consumerism market and greater good that it represents, they include a leaf-charmed bracelet with many of their items. It’s a thoughtful touch that reminds us of how we can make a positive impact simply by choosing how we spend our money, even if it isn’t an outright donation.
Overall, I would highly recommend Quagga Green products to anyone who is interested in the ethical and sustainable power that fashion has to offer. I have supported this brand for some time now, and I enjoy having these products as just a small part of my ever-growing Quagga Green collection.
Until next time, be kind, be conscious, and always keep it classy!

Shop the Look
I purchased these items at my local Whole Foods Market (which despite being a “grocery store” is actually my favorite place to obtain ethical fashion and beauty goods), though much of the Quagga Green stock they carry is seasonal. They do, however, tend to update their inventory with whatever type of apparel fits the current time of year.
If you live in the U.S., U.K., or Canada and have a Whole Foods within your area, I would highly recommend paying them a visit to see if they carry any Quagga Green products. They typically have a variety of other wearables and accessories from hats to handbags (such as the Foil Printed Zip Pouches I featured in my Whole Foods Market 2019 Holiday Gift Guide). Similar items from the company can be found on Amazon.com*.
