We deserve to be mindfully and consciously beautiful from the tops of our heads to the tips of our toes…and fingers! Here are some clean, less-toxic nail polish options to try:
Mineral Fusion** has stolen my heart time and time again with their wide range of safe, healthy, and high-performing clean beauty products (including their lipsticks), and their nail polishes follow the same suit. All of their polishes are carbon-free and therefore less toxic and more environmentally-friendly than many of their conventionally formulated counterparts.
To celebrate the new year, I began with the color Bubble (a lovely dusty lavender with a creme finish) and then used Confetti (a clear base with large multicolored glitter flecks) for some accent nails. This New Year’s Eve, you might find yourself sipping champagne, sparkling water, or some other effervescent beverage. Once the clock strikes midnight, you might toss confetti into the air of the new era, blow a party horn, or share a kiss with your special someone. However you choose to welcome the New Year, this nail polish combination is both visually and conceptually festive.
Note: I also used Mineral Fusion’s Base Coat* and Top Coat* to maximize the wear time and create a smooth sealant over the glitter.
What makes them conscious:
- Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free and 100% vegan
- Carbon-free formula; company partners with CarbonFund.org to promote positive environmental impact
- Free of many potentially harmful ingredients including formaldehyde, DBP, toluene, and camphor
What makes them classy:
- Chip-resistant formula
- Applies smoothly and is self-leveling, requiring less coats
- Fun and festive color/texture combination
I hope 2020 brings you happiness, safety, prosperity, and whatever else you desire to improve upon from the former year. Cheers, my friends!
Until next time, be kind, be conscious, and always keep it classy!
